Granada Indemnity Company is a standard lines, commercial property and casualty insurance company headquartered in Long Beach, New York, and is rated A- (Excellent) by AM Best Company, the leading provider of financial rating services to the insurance industry.

Granada Indemnity was founded in 1979 as North Sea Insurance Company, providing commercial property and liability coverages to small and mid-sized buildings and businesses in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In 2009, the regional insurance carrier was acquired by Lancer Financial Group, Inc., the parent company of Lancer Insurance Company, one of the leading writers of commercial auto insurance in the U.S. North Sea was renamed Lancer Indemnity Company in 2013, and expanded into the Connecticut property and casualty insurance market three years later. Though the Company spun off from the Lancer Group in 2021, it remains under the same ownership and executive leadership. In 2022, the Company rebranded as Granada Indemnity Company and is now a member of the Granada Financial Group, which also includes Granada Insurance Company, among other entities.

Today, we draw upon our vast experience to provide a wide range of insurance products and services through a network of licensed insurance producers. Our focus remains on addressing the insurance needs of small to mid-sized commercial lines risks, including those requiring commercial auto insurance coverages.
